In 2005 Coach Murphy was named the 14th Head Coach in the history of Haverford School Football. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University (BA '93  M.Ed '96) and Quakertown High School '89, the 2009 season will be his fifth as the head coach of the Fords. Coach Murphy is married and has 2 children.

Since taking over the Haverford program, Murphy has compiled an 15-27-0 record. The 2008 season was one of the best in recent history, with the Fords finishing 2nd in the league, their best finish since 2000. He has produced 11 All Inter-Ac selections. Under his leadership the program has grown from 47 players in grades 9-12, to close to 80 players that will compete in 2009. During the 2009 season, 9 of his former players will compete at the collegiate level.

Prior to joining The Haverford School in 2005, Murphy taught and coached at The Episcopal Academy for 8 years. He was a member of the Varsity Football coaching staff for 5 years as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach. At EA he helped lead EA to a share of the Inter-Ac title in 2004 and QB Brian FitzPatrick was named City Player of the Year and a Maxwell Award Finalist. He was part of the Varsity Ice Hockey coaching staff for 8 years, serving as the Head Coach for 5 of those years.

Coach Conboy is a native of Drexel Hill, PA. One of five children of James P. Conboy, Sr. a decorated WWII Veteran. He was a 3 sport athlete at Upper Darby High School and a member of the graduating class of 1979. He matriculated to the University of Delaware, where he was a four year member of football teams that were perennial Lambert Cup contenders, and Division II National Champions in 1979. He has spent the last 6 years coaching at St. Bernadettes CYO, the final 3 as Defensive Coordinator. He has coached in the CYO Blue/Gold game for 3 years. Conboy is married with 3 children. He is a self-employed HVAC contractor and real estate investor.

Coach Creed is a graduate of The Episcopal Academy.  He served as co-captain during his senior year with current Philadelphia Eagle, Kyle Eckel.  Creed went on to attended TrinityCollege where he played both Football and Lacrosse.  He was a four year starter at defensive end and served as co-captain of the lacrosse team in his senior season.  He helped lead the Bantam football team to an undefeated season in 2003 while breaking the College Career Sack Record.  Creed graduated from Trinity in 2004 and has worked in Commercial Real Estate for the past four years with Fameco Real Estate.

Summary:
Brian Martin grew up in Ridley Park, PA where he started playing football at the age of eight. A graduate of St. James High School, he played football, indoor track, and baseball. Martin continued his education and football career at Wesley College in Delaware. After graduating from Wesley,  he taught Special Education in Maryland for three years. Martin returned to Ridley Park where he taught at Ridley HS for 3 years and coached the Freshman football team. Martin joined the faculty of The Haverford School in 2003, teaching Physical Education and Health in the Middle School. At The Haverford School, he has coached both football and lacrosse. He has been the head coach of the middle school football team, a varsity football assisant for three years and the varsity defensive coordinator for one year. Other coaching experience includes, upper school JV lacrosse for five years and upper school winter fitness for two years. Martin has a wife Diane and a two year old son Callum.

Summary:
Coach Mills is a 2000 graduate of Urbana High School, Frederick County Maryland, where he led the team to two consecutive 2A state championships and undefeated seasons. While there he passed for 5,638 yards and 59 touchdowns, both MD state records at the time. Mills matriculated to Penn State University where he was a 3 year starter for coach Joe Paterno. He holds many Penn State records. His 7,796 yards of total offense is a school record, and his 41 career TD passes and 16 career 200 yd passing games both tie school marks. Mills graduated from PSU in 2004 with a Degree in Kinesiology. Coach Mills spent the 2004 Pre-season in the NFL camp of the Washington Redskins. Mills is currently a Manufactures Representative for a Sales Rep Agency.

Summary:
Coach Joe Nassib was born and raised in Havertown, PA. He attended St. Aloysius Academy in Bryn Mawr, then Malvern Prep, where he was a member of three consecutive Inter-Ac championship football teams. After graduating from Malvern, he attended and played football at the University of Delaware prior to his graduation from Villanova University with a degree in Business Administration. Nassib attended Graduate School at St. Joseph's University, where he received an MBA in Finance. He is presently the President of J.G. Nascon Incorporated of Eddystone PA., a heavy highway/site work contractor. Nassib joined The Haverford School varsity football staff in 2006 as the defensive line coach. Prior to joining the Haverford staff, he was the heead football coach at his alma mater, St.Aloysius Academy.

Coach Richardson hails from the Philadelphia area where he was an All Public, All City inside linebacker for the Mastbaum A.V.T.S. After graduating from Mastbaum in 1994, Richardson went on to play defensive back for DII powerhouse Bloomsburg University. After graduating with a degree in Business Management in 1999, he returned to the Philadelphia Public Leauge where he coached linebackers and served as the defensive coordinator at his alma mater for four years. In 2005, Richardson joined the staff at The Haverford School as the defensive backs coach. Coach Richardson has a two year old daughter, Dallas.

Coach Rosko is entering his 3rd year as the Strength and Conditioning coach of the Fords. In addition to working with the Fords’ football team, he is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Eastern University Men’s Basketball team. Rosko attended Eastern University, where he was a four year basketball player. Rosko has previously served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Villanova University, where he assisted with football and was the Head of programming design and implementation for Track/Field, Volleyball, Tennis and Crew. He has served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Iona College. Rosko was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Saint Joseph’s University (PA) for Men’s and Women’s Basketball. In his 1st year with SJU Men’s team, the team went 27-0 and to the Elite 8 of NCAA tournament, with a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He was sponsible for assisting SJU year around workouts for men's/women's basketball. Helped plan, design, and implement all plyometric, agility, and sport specific training.  Rosko has trained alongside Jim Schmitz, former USA Olympic Team weightlifting coach for the, 1980, 1988, and 1992 Olympics. He specialized in teaching Olympic weight lifting movements and program design to performance athletes of multiple sports, including football. Coach Rosko was born and raised in Aldan, PA and currently resides in Drexel Hill.

Coach Trocano was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. He holds an MA.Ed from Wake Forrest University, and a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University. He is currently a Science Instructor at The Haverford School, as well as Co-Chair of the Science Department (2005-present). Prior to his arrival at The Haverford School, he was the Dean of Sciece and Chemistry and an Instructor at The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics(1997-2004). Trocano played football at Charles F. Brush High School, OH and Yale University. He has coached football at Case Western Reserve University (graduate assistant), Duke University (club team), Kempsville High School, VA and West Forsyth High School, Clemmons, NC. Trocano joined The Haverford School varsity football staff as an offensive line coach in 2005.

Summary:
Coach Venuti enters his first year with the Fords varsity program. He spent the last two years as Head Coach of the seventh grade team. Coach Venuti will work with the Tight Ends at the Varsity level and assist Coach Creed with the Freshman team. Prior to coaching at The Haverford School, Venuti was a coach in the Marple Tigers organization.

Jay Wright, a lifer of The Haverford School, began playing football for the Fords in the seventh grade. Wright continued to play for The Haverford School until his graduation in 1996. As a WR/DB, Wright received all league honors and was named team captain his senior year. After graduating from Haverford, Wright went on to play football and run track at Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut. Upon graduation from Trinity College in 2000, Wright returned to his alma mater, becoming a Health and Physical Education teacher. Wright has coached football at Haverford since his return, starting as a middle school coach prior to becoming a member of the varsity staff. Wright  is also the head coach of the Indoor Track team at Haverford.
